Meet Anthony
Candidate for Salem-Keizer School Board Zone 1
I’m a father of three children enrolled in Salem-Keizer Public Schools and a passionate advocate for high expectations in education. I’m a business leader and longtime youth mentor, I coach Mock Trial at West Salem High and work closely with students, teachers, and administrators.
My background in finance, consulting, and performance management has equipped me to ask tough questions and push for results. I’m stepping up to make sure our schools offer the quality all students deserve!
Priorities for Salem-Keizer Schools
-
Raising the Bar in Salem-Keizer Schools
As a father of three SKPS students, my wife and I have had many conversations about the need for higher standards and better preparation for life after graduation. Today, too few parents believe our schools are preparing students for success. I believe we must return to academic fundamentals: strong reading, writing, math, and science instruction–starting early.
-
Supporting Teachers, Expecting Results
I come from a family of educators. Our teachers need the tools, training, and support to succeed—but they also need students to be held accountable.
Restoring classroom discipline and consistent expectations is essential for student learning and staff safety.
-
Preparing Students for Life
Whether it’s college, trades, or starting a business, we must expand hands-on learning and life skills. I coach Mock Trial at West Salem High School, work alongside local educators, and served on the Washougal Schools Foundation to fund classroom projects. We need more partnerships that help students graduate with practical skills and critical thinking abilities, not just a diploma.
-
Safe, Focused Classrooms
Every parent deserves peace of mind. I’ll advocate for stronger discipline policies, better communication with families, and safe, focused classrooms for all.
I believe a transparent and fact-driven process is needed to engage parents and staff in implementing more safety policies, including bringing back law enforcement into our schools.

“Anthony knows teachers are the backbone of our schools. He’ll work to ensure they’re supported, respected, and empowered to help every student succeed.”
